There are a lot of abbreviations that appear in medical records used in disability claims. Some examples some include:

HEENT – head, eyes, ears, nose and throat

WNL – within normal limits

VS – vital signs

HPI – history of present illness

CC – chief complaint

ROS – review of systems

PMH – past medical history

PSH – past surgical history
